I'm a joint postdoc, at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), in the Quantum Information Theory group of Prof. Renato Renner, and at the University of Geneva, in the Group of Applied Physics - Optics of Prof. Nicolas Gisin. I also collaborate closely with the Cryptography group of Prof. Ueli Maurer.

In Zurich, I'm currently working mostly on a composable security framework, Abstract Cryptography (AC). This is a strict generalization of existing frameworks, e.g., Canetti's Universal Composability (UC). We are developing a quantum version of AC, and using it to analyze some specific cryptographic problems. I am also looking into a few open topics related to quantum-proof extractors.

In Zurich, I'm currently mostly working on quantum-proof extractors, in particular two-sources extractors and the (in)equivalence between classical- and quantum-proof extractors. Recently I have also taken an interest in the theory of composable security. With the group in Geneva, I'm working on quantum key distribution: new protocols to close the gap between theory and practice, and various issues related to the implementation of post-processing.
