Curriculum Vitae

Dmitri Ivanov was born in Moscow in 1973. He studied physics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, with his diploma work completed at the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics in 1995. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999. Between 1999 and 2003 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich and at Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen. From 2004 to 2011 he worked as an assistant professor at EPFL. His scientific interests include mesoscopic physics and strongly correlated systems. The topics of his past and current research include high-temperature superconductivity, quantum dimer models, topological order and topological excitations, quantum computing, quantum entanglement, low-dimensional electronic and spin systems, mesoscopic superconductivity, superconductor-ferromagnet junctions, Anderson localization, full counting statistics.
